TREND REPORT: Fall 2014

TREND REPORT: FALL 2014

Hello Fashionistas,

Fall is here that means we need to cover up again. Besides the cold weather and cover ups, fall is challenging season for the fashionistas to dress well in order for them to pull off a good ensemble.

This is my first time to do a trend report and I'm starting to like it. I love the fall trends however some of those trends need polishing to make it more wearable. Trends are recycled and developed.

It's hard to set a new trend because the fashionistas are more creative than before and they can pull off a look with various trends. Although trends are meant to be followed, it is still important to wear trends that are fit for your style. The trends this season have new flair of most trends.

Here are the trends for Fall 2014:

Knits All Over

I never thought that designers would make knit sweater paired with knit pants. It is something new and perhaps, more comfortable than tweed. You can go all knits if you are trying to pull off a monochrome and neutral look. I'm looking forward for the fashionistas that would like to give a shot on this trend.

Oversized Covers

If people say covers they mean coats, jackets, and ponchos. The covers couldn't get any bigger this fall. The masculine structure of the coats makes it larger and manly. With different designs and cut of each covers, it makes it more functional and stylish for fall.

Warm Fuzzy Feeling

Fall wouldn't be complete without a collection of plush furs. Shearling is making its way back in fall. The designers cozied up this season to very cuddly shearling. Biker jackets are cozier this season. These jackets looks cool and edgy with a twist of warm and fuzziness.

The Sixties

This retro trend have been revived by the Paris' major houses. Mini-skirts, trapeze dresses, patent Mary-Janes, graphic bobs and pastel colors are the things that presents a fresh and carefree take on the 60s British mod. Paired with boots and flats, the result better than ever.

Prints, Prints, Prints!

Prints are already used in fall as a trend but this season, it became more attractive for fall. Designers used prints in dresses and coats. They combined the colors very well. The way colors stand out in a garment is cool and amazing. I like the printed coats because it is new and fresh that can be used by the fun-loving fashionistas.

Urban Chic

Hip hop and sporty trends have been conquering the fall season. Athletic style continues this season. The detail and structure of these pieces are modern and edgy. Cool colors and well tailored garments, Urban is more chic than before. If you're sporty on into hip hop, these are the pieces you're looking for.

Fall-Winter 2014/15 Haute Couture CHANEL Show

CHANEL FALL/WINTER 2014 HAUTE COUTRE COLLECTION

Hello Fashionistas,

I'm so sorry for the late review but this is my first time to review a Haute Couture collection. I know that haute couture means high tailoring or high fashion. Haute couture = More money + High risk. Not anyone can mass produce a haute couture collection without the permission of Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.

I chose to review Chanel's Fall/Winter 2014 Haute Couture Collection is because the collection was simply stunning. This collection represents the brand is evolving. It is shown how woman dresses through the years. Simple yet elegant, stylish yet functional and classy yet chic.

Half of the collection looks like 60s British mod and the rest of it have the French flair or should I say Chanel flair. The classic chalk-white, penitent gowns, lavished with embroidery, and fur are the few things that Karl Lagerfeld used for this collection. Flats are the shoes in the collection. At the either ends of the runway, there are fireplaces stoked with digital flames. There is also a big old baroque mirror above the mantle. It seems that Karl combined light, dark and dull colors that are perfect for fall and winter.

The collection looks comfortable, wearable and chic. I'll definitely recommend this year's collection to those women who are sophisticated, stylish, classy and conservative. I even asked my mom if she would wear the Chanel gown and she said she would it. I wish I can touch them so that I can tell you how fabrics feels great.

Here the complete video of the show. Enjoy!

London Men's Fashion Week: Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

LONDON MEN'S FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2015 COLLECTION: MY TOP FAVORITES

Hello Fashionistas,

Before, I combined my favorites in London, Milan and Paris to show the best of the best but I realized it's a little bit selfish and bias. I decided to pick my favorites in each city.

London is the "Trend Capital of the World" because of some of the best trendsetters and designers. I love London for offering some of the best menswear collections. I'm looking for the clothes that I would actually wear when I go to London.

Anyways, London just finished showing their Spring/Summer collections and I am here to show you my top picks for the spring and summer. I think I found the perfect outfits for this season. If you don't agree with me, that's totally fine with me because I know everyone has their own taste and style. I'm pretty sure that the male fashionistas would want to wear the pieces that I picked for the spring and summer. I've gathered the pieces that are comfortable, wearable and unique.

The textiles of the outfits that I picked are comfortable and warm. The colors and patterns of the outfits are very appealing and wearable. You can wear them anywhere you like without feeling conscious and ashamed of what you look like. These are the pieces that I really like and would buy for my spring and summer wardrobe. These outfits are very ideal for this season. Now, I present to you my top favorites in Spring/Summer 2015 Menswear Collection and here they are:

Burberry Prorsum

Christopher Kane

DKNY

Dunhill

Hackett

Tom Ford

Actually, I really like this year's LMFW Spring/Summer Collection and the reason is that the fashion designers are more creative than before. They used the colors and patterns very well. The way they styled their models are fun, new and exciting. They gave me new ideas for my styling needs that a fashionista would use to their looks. I must say, they did a great this year.
